Great pricing, great service and great selection have
taken Town, Country and Casual from humble beginnings in 1994 to the
enviable position of being one of Florida's largest and most respected
trade showrooms, recently opening a second showroom in Pompano Beach
at the former Wholesale Interiors location. The company also has a division
catering to the trade nationwide.
With over 100 brand name and exclusive furniture lines, and with art,
lamps and accessories from more than 70 sources, the selection and range
of their offerings is extremely impressive. Both showrooms have successfully
integrated the three categories "Town", "Country"
and "Casual" into their floor displays. Pompano has enabled
Town, Country and Casual to take on some lines that were previously
unavailable to them. These include Ferguson Copeland (gallery), Theodore
Alexander, CTH Sherrill Occasional and Stone International, with
an extensive selection of each displayed on the Pompano showroom floor.
These four lines are not available in Hollywood.
The resource rooms at both showrooms are excellent. Each has working
areas for designers and their clients with a full library of catalogs,
color copiers, computers, and refreshments.
What also strikes one in particular is the excellent pricing. Whether
at low, medium or high price points, the purchase seems to be good value.
"This is by design", says showroom owner, Barry Clarke, "Whatever
the price-point, value is always an essential criteria in our decision
to take on a new line. We never want to be considered over-priced."
"However", says Barry, "in addition to value, it is also
our competitive net pricing that keeps designers coming to us.
We carry over 40 lines that are also in DCOTA, but our net prices are
lower."
Impressive too is the company "Team". This is a dynamic and
experienced group of industry professionals, with an average of 20 years
each in the interior design and trade showroom industry, several coming
from high-profile DCOTA showrooms. (For out-of-state designers: DCOTA
is the Design Center of the Americas, the largest design center in the
world, just five minutes away from Town, Country and Casual's Hollywood
showroom).
Sales are shared between all Sales Associates. This means that clients
can work with whomever they wish or whoever is available at either showroom.
This makes for a comfortable atmosphere and is clearly of benefit to
the busy designer. The ambiance at both showrooms is superb!
A company's ownership determines its ethic. In the words of well-known
local designer, Dorothy de Saulnier, "Barry is the most honest
and fair-minded person to do business with in the industry". Barry
says and genuinely means it "Client satisfaction reigns supreme
above all other considerations". There are several designers who
can attest that Town, Country and Casual customer service does indeed
go beyond the ordinary.
Town, Country and Casual caters to many tastes and styles. Designers
have furnished entire residences and resorts at Town, Country and Casual,
and their clients have included celebrities, sport stars, and even royalty.
Barry hastens to remind us though that these are not the average clients,
and it is the average client who is the mainstay of the business and
equally revered. In addition to designers, clients include architects,
builders, developers, decorators, specifiers, purchasing agents and
overseas buyers. The showrooms are not open to the public.
Designers who have not recently been to both showrooms are in for a
treat. One designer best encapsulated the essence of Town, Country and
Casual: "Walking into the showroom is like a breath of fresh air,
I am warmly greeted, thoroughly engaged, shown exactly what I need,
and I walk out very content".
It doesn't come better than that, does it!
